Portraits * Famous People and Famous Places
| Weddings. In one short year my wedding photography business has grown quite dramatically. Brides have loved my "enthusiasm" and "killer" photographs. Busy summer ahead! A recent advertisement can be seen here: |

| Portraits. I love weddings but I also love working with people one-on-one. I guess I love portraits not only because I like people so much, but also because people seem to get along with me too. I try to both learn something from the people I photograph and share with them information about myself. The woman below, a graduating college senior, told me all about her family business in California (Special Effects), and her desire to open an art gallery back home.

And I told her my life story--how I got a degree in Art History and then became a corporate photographer, moved into marketing, then sales, and today I was pursuing my passion.

| Famous People Famous Places. I finished scanning my negatives of images from Times Square circa early 1980s. As I type this an editor in New York is working on narrowing down the 300 plus images to approximately 60 for book publication. More information on this important book will be forthcoming during the summer. But people are already saying: "Bruce, your book is going to be amazing."
"I can't wait to buy a copy. These images are such important historical documents; that Times Square doesn't exist anymore. Wow. Thank You for this, Bruce." |

Nature. I try to go outside everyday and photograph the nature that surrounds me. It is what sustains and inspires me. I see myself as an artist. Whether I am photographing a wedding, a cat or dog, a nude, a baby, a pregnant woman, a portrait, nature……I consider all my photography art; and all my photography is personal work. Life is my subject matter. And it is Nature that continues to astonish me. People write to me: "Thank you for making my life more beautiful with each of your photographs."
"Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful images and words. Your vision is a gift."
"Browsing your (photography) is like walking thru a museum and watching a documentary on the history of photography. You have managed to make art your life itself." |

A few final thoughts:
I need to thank a few people who
have supported me in this
journey. My printer,
Sky Lake Studios. People who have
e-mailed me about my work
and people who have bought
my photos--people like
Sandy Carson, who has
been observing my work on
line and bought a series of
my Pond photos. And
people who have inspired me
to keep going--my son and
daughter, Daryl and
Danielle, and my friend
Olga. And my Dad, who passed
away unexpectedly this past
April. |
