If our eyes met once more

Would there be that strange alchemy

Would the language we share

Spring to our lips

Mother Tongue

And would we see

That we speak each other into a certain existence?

I wanted to tell you

He said through the liquor

That the truth matrix is

That there is no truth

And another said

Reality has no mother

I say no wonder women bleed

And you with whom I share the moon

Would understand

For we both have tasted the truth

Swallowed it down

Even to the point of poison

Knowing full well there are those

Who would have spit it out

And yet we still write

And if it mattered not to any

We would still do it

In sun and blood
